Since graduating Dr. Adepoju has been working in the Ottawa area with small animals. She loves her work and is enjoying practice ownership. Her passion is in giving your pet the best care possible. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband (Ade) and two children (Lily & Elijah) and her cat Stewie and dog Max.
Dr. Moyra Horner BSc DVM
Dr. Ellie Baird BSc DVM
Dr. Ellie Baird has recently found her way home to the Ottawa area, where she grew up, after spending the last 20 years in Southern Ontario. If she tries to claim that she missed “real” winter take it with a grain of salt! What she really missed was her family and friends who have been supporting her passion for helping all creatures great small her whole life. Ask her about her change colour gold fish, balding hamster, rescue hedgehog, and thankfully normal family dog as a child! These pets all paved the way to pursuing veterinary medicine. Dr. Baird graduated from The Ontario Veterinary College in 2010 and has worked in all sizes and styles of practice, including laboratory medicine and industry, while honing her interests in surgery, dentistry, critical care, ophthalmology and nutrition. When asked what she has enjoyed most about her diverse experiences she will answer that it is the people and relationships she has made along the way. Supporting the power of the human-animal bond is her calling. When she’s not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her two young boys and her husband, camping, hiking and generally adventuring. She has a “pandemic pet” mouse, a black cat, a three-legged farm dog, a bossy pug cross, and an ever-increasing flock of backyard chickens she is constantly trying to keep alive and defend from predators! All of whom keep her very busy!

She has joined our team to become our office manager, and she will most likely be the face you see as you enter our clinic. She is courteous and friendly and can answer most any question or concern you may have. Rachel – Veterinary Technician
Rachel grew up in Stittsville and graduated from the Algonquin College Veterinary Technician program in 2019. After graduation she worked in a fast paced clinic before coming to Hazeldean as a technician. Rachel is always looking for opportunities to learn and be helpful. She has 2 dogs, Nala and Cassie, as well as Freckles, a cat she met and fell in love with through school. Outside of work she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family, friends, and of course her furbabies!
Eryn – Veterinary Assistant
Eryn joined the practice in Aug. 2020 with experience in horses and dog and cat ownership. She has brought a great energy to the team and a passion for learning about all parts of veterinary medicine. She shares her home with a few humans, 2 dogs and 2 cats but has goals of expanding her 4 legged family when she can combine her 3 horses with her smaller friends. She loves being outdoors, whether on land or on water. In the clinic she is an assistant who offers a hand to anyone who needs it and helps to manage inventory.
Del – Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
Del became part of our practice family in Aug. 2020 after completing her degree. Her calm, quiet demeanor has been a soothing addition. Her interest in the practice has led to her developing duties that are varied from reception to animal handling. At home she is devoted to her dog and cat as well as two horses and a human. At work she is kind and gentle and is very thorough in everything she does. Del was raised on maple syrup and might be the biggest fan of Christmas the practice has ever met.
Dean came to the clinic shortly after opening day and has been a wonderful addition to the Hazeldean family. He takes his job as clinic greeter very seriously and can often be found right at the front door (go ahead and step over him) or sitting in the front window. He loves getting the attention of passers by and welcomes the attention when anyone stops in to visit, especially children. He also has a steady following on Facebook.
Lingo was adopted from the Ottawa Humane Society in October 2015 after living on the streets. He is a very cuddly boy who is very food motivated. Lingo is extremely friendly and will always greet you when you call his name.
