Our Clinic Family

Dr. Lawana Adepoju BSc DVM

Dr. Lawana Adepoju was born and raised in Sussex, New Brunswick on a small family dairy farm. Since childhood she has been caring for and nursing animals whenever the opportunity was available. In 2006, she realized her dream of becoming a veterinarian after graduating from the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI. She also has experience in regulatory work with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and has even done some veterinary work in Kenya. Since graduating Dr. Adepoju has been working in the Ottawa area with small animals. She loves her work and is enjoying practice ownership. Her passion is in giving your pet the best care possible.  Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband (Ade) and two children (Lily & Elijah) and her cat Stewie and dog Max.

Dr. Moyra Horner BSc DVM

Moyra worked in industry for one year and then for a couple of years working as a locum (filling in for other veterinarians). Through this, she has had the chance to experience many different ways of doing things and getting to know many practitioners.
Client relationships are very important to Moyra and she enjoys getting to know the entire family. She also loves soft tissue surgery and attending continuing education to stay up to date on the ever changing world of veterinary medicine.
On a personal level, Moyra focuses on spending time with family and friends, cleaning up after her two cats and singing. She shares her home with her husband, their Devon Rex Miranda, and Birman Tiberius.

Dr. Ellie Baird BSc DVM

Dr. Ellie Baird has recently found her way home to the Ottawa area, where she grew up, after spending the last 20 years in Southern Ontario. If she tries to claim that she missed “real” winter take it with a grain of salt! What she really missed was her family and friends who have been supporting her passion for helping all creatures great small her whole life. Ask her about her change colour gold fish, balding hamster, rescue hedgehog, and thankfully normal family dog as a child! These pets all paved the way to pursuing veterinary medicine. Dr. Baird graduated from The Ontario Veterinary College in 2010 and has worked in all sizes and styles of practice, including laboratory medicine and industry, while honing her interests in surgery, dentistry, critical care, ophthalmology and nutrition.  When asked what she has enjoyed most about her diverse experiences she will answer that it is the people and relationships she has made along the way. Supporting the power of the human-animal bond is her calling. When she’s not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her two young boys and her husband, camping, hiking and generally adventuring. She has a “pandemic pet” mouse, a black cat, a three-legged farm dog, a bossy pug cross, and an ever-increasing flock of backyard chickens she is constantly trying to keep alive and defend from predators! All of whom keep her very busy!
